Great I found a way to add lovely smilies !!! I am very happy because I have been looking for a while for those smilies !!! I did different tries and those are the right ones !!! Almost 2 eggs

As you can see I'm a good girl and I am still stitching my Lanarte !!! It's not that I don't want to stitch my Christmas stories but I have probably stitched over 65 % of the chart. It would be really bad if it will end up in UFO ... So I am strong and I stick with it ;-) No matter what. I will just reward myself once in a while with the other one ...

So I have 5 days off (paid ! yeah !!! ) I love french holidays !!! Who won't ;-) I need to call the teacher today to see until when she will stay home. For sure, I will have one more week but I need to know until when I need to prepare the class . It's far but I don't mind going there as the kids are so great. They prepare a show for june 12th and I like being involve in shows even though it can be tough sometimes as the others students are not as quiet as mine ...

Emma told me something funny the other day: her friend Emeline told her she kissed on the lips with her "boyfriend" (6 years old too) and she added: "they may have a baby " ! :-D

I'm weak ...

Here is my birdhouse: the feather is finished and I have started one egg under the main birdhouse. I should have stitched the nest under the bouquet but I didn't feel like stitching a nest. Maybe, it is a sign I'm getting a little bored with that project...

Well ... what you see is really what you think it is !!! I'm weak but you see, I've worked a lot on the birdhouse so I thought I just deserve a little reward to myself ! :-D I could indulge on ice cream but it wouldn't be good for my hips , right? And it doesn't mean I'm going to give up on my Lanarte. It stays my focus piece ;-) Anyway, the Lanarte charts are much easier to stitch than the Dimensions. I'm stitching my Christmas stories on a white 32 count lugana fabric. So I don't know if I could use 3 to 4 threads as they want us to ...

Good progress

The bouquet is finished !!! And I have even started the feather that I had frogged last time. I'm almost done on the feather and even though the feather is too low, we barely notice the difference.

I've been a bad girl yesterday: I have to admit it ! I got my fabric ready for my Christmas Stories and I also storted my threads. I had to make my own thread sorters... Let's say I'm very close to start anytime now as the picture is so beautiful !!! I don't know how long I will resist ... :-)

It's been raining since this morning ... I hate being stuck at home ... but what else can I do but stitch? :-))

No stitching last night

I was done with a migraine last night. I started to have a headache at school but I didn't take a pain killer. I think it got worse when I drove during 30 minutes and by the time, I got the kids at the day care: migraine was here ... I even called my mom to help me the kids: I was in bed at 6.30 pm so it's great she was able to help me as Chuy was working until 9.15 pm. So I was not able to stitch either and my bouquet is not quite finished.

I worked this morning. Usually there is no school on saturday morning but we worked last saturday and this one in order to be off on wednesday, thrusday and friday !!! France has (too? ) many holidays in may !!! YEAH !!!!!!

I don't give up ...

Even though temptation tells me to start my Christmas Stories , I do resist ladies !!! Okay, okay, I don't know how long I will ... You see: the other one is just toooooooooo cute ! :-) Anyway, the bouquet is NOT yet finished ... It takes forever for just such a small design ... I still have to stitch the feather...

Esteban doesn't want to fall asleep at night (it's been like that since tuesday night) ... I don't know what's going on ... Nothing had changed here. And at the daycare, now, he wants them to feed him :-o He's been eating by himself since he's 15 months old ... He really screams at night: I feel bad because we live in an appartment and I'm afraid the neighbours are going to complain soon. I try to be firm with him and I hope he won't be doing that for a long time ...

I love to get things in the mail !

I am pleased to introduce you to my next new project : Christmas stories from Dimensions !!! It's a small design (a big change for me !!! ). I checked Dimensions new range of christmas products and can I say I fell in love with that cute design? :-)) I had to have it so I ordered it from ebay and here it is in front of me. Now the dilemma is: should I start it right now or should I wait to finish the birdhouse artistry? I have everything to start it: the right fabric: a 32 count white lugana. ( I only wish Dimensions will include a thread sorter in their Petite collections ) I'm afraid if I don't finish the other one first, it may end up as an UFO ... :-(

A progress

Here is a close view of my flower bouquet. I'm not done yet and I'm not sure I'll finish it tonight ...I still have e few details in the leaves. Now we can really see it is a bouquet, right?

an overall view .

Today it's holiday here so I took advantage and got my camera out to take a large picture of my birdhouse artistry. I managed to take only one and my camera shut down: the batteries are dead. Anyway, I think the picture is good enough and we see all the different parts of that piece. Click on the picture to see it better and bigger. I am now off danger as the flower bouquet won't be touching the bird. Anyway, I'm going to enjoy my day off (and paid) and i may stitch a little bit today. I'd like to finish the flower as I don't enjoy stitching that part a lot (there are a lot of colors change on a small design) .

A bigger picture !!!

Here is the result of my last night stitching. The flower is getting bigger. I still hope it is going to be fine as I won't frog all you see ;-) After the flower, I'm going to stitch the nest or the feather I frogged last time. After the nest, there is another birdhouse that I may lower to get it close to the border. It should 3 nuts but I don't think it is really nice !!! For that I'll have to stitch all the border first !

I haven't received my next project yet and it's better like that as I may stitch it right !!! :-) I don't think I could resist , except that it is a Dimensions kit and that it is always tricky to stitch as they mixed colors ... I'll show it to you when I'll get it here !!!

A new picture .

Here is a picture of my last night stitching. I succeeded to finish the little paint and I started the flower bouquet under it. But I made a little mistake: I started close to the left bird and if I continue over there, I'll be short a 4 stitches and I'm afraid I'll ARRIVE ON the paint :o So I'll frog all I did close to the bird and continue where close to the paint.

I haven't been blogging since thrusday because I didn't have time at all: when I start a new class I have a lot of thing to prepare. The teacher took 2 weeks of sick days (she's suffering from depression ) but I may stay there more than 2 weeks. I'd like to: the kids are SOOOOOOOO nice !!! That's s great and pretty rare . I never got a class that nice before so it's very pleasant. The only downside of the job is the commute: 30 minutes drive to go there so I spend one hour driving but I arrive at the school daycare just 5 minutes later than when I work close to home. The road is fine: it is a highway then a freeway so only the freeway is a little bit stuck at 5.10 pm.

We did free the lizard: I do think he's happier outside than in a plastic box. Wild animals are made to live outside , not inside with humans ;-)

This morning I went voting. We'll have a new president tonight. At least, it's going to be a young president. That's a big change since all the previous presidents were at least 65 years old. I made my students vote on saturday: the result are : Sarkozy 51 % and Royal 49 %. We'll see if it matches tonight results...

Well ...

No pictures today. I just frogged my feather and stitched the paint a little bit. I'm working 30 minutes from home now so it is going to be hard to stitch at school. I'll have to prepare my class but if I organize myself well enough , I'll have enough time to stitch at night.

PS: the lizard is free !!!
