It's monday again !!!

Today I decided to add Twitter to my blog. I'm new to Twitter but I find it fun to be able to write little things about my daily stuffs. I don't have any followers but as soon as I registered, one person asked me if I wanted to follow him/her to watch videos of Brittney Spears naked ... Well, no thanks, I barely stands her with clothes on so I have no desire to see her butt naked My nickname was already taken (apparently by a german woman ... ) so I had to choose: Chiloe_ .

On sunday, we went to a fancy restaurant to celebrate my grand'ma 88 birthday !!! The restaurant was really nice but fancy so even though we warned Pierre that he may not have his fries, he was showing the whole world how unhappy he was about the menu. I don't know when he will stop being so difficult ... We tried so many things like warning him before we go but it seems nothing works ... I know it's probably hard for him too to not be like his brother and sister who seem to handle life better than him ... Of course, they didn't suffer two different life threatening illenesses so it's hard to compare their life's journey ... but Pierre is hard to understand and we are so tired of his behavior ...

Here is my grand'ma getting her birthday cake prepared by the restaurant. She didn't expect it and even though she didn't really want anybody to know, she was delighted ! After the restaurant, we all went to see the place where she was when the D-Day started during WWII and she was very close and 9 month pregnant with my aunt. My grand'ma was always a cold person when I was growing up and only during the last couple of years she has stopped reproaching me stuffs from the past ... unfortunately, it's a little bit too late ...

So did I stitch this week end ? Yep, I did !!! I added a cardinal; stitching some reds was a nice break from the browns but of course, it didn't last long until I went back to stitch browns again ... You may have noticed I stitched some backgound because I try to avoid you my future whines

First I want to thank you for your nice thoughts about Steb. He's really fine but doesn't enjoy the medecine in his nose ... (and I don't blame him !!! )

One fellow stitcher was selling some kits on a bulletin board and I took advantage to buy this cute Lanarte kit for a reasonnable price: (Emma wants me to stitch it for her .) I love the colors !!!

I kept working on the reindeer and I finally finished is body !!! I have nothing against browns but I guess I need happy colors to keep me happy

Adventure in Chiloeland

Here, kids don't have classes on wednesdays so on tuesday night we decided they could watch our local "idol" until the commercial break. Steb stayed with us as well but he was not really interested by the TV. He was playing on Chuy laps when suddendly he fell over and bumped his face on the coffee table. I heard a big noise His nose started to bleed. That was scary. Pierre started to panick and cried (he doesn't really stand to see blood. When he had his blood transfusion, the nurses always covered the blood pouches with foil paper.) then Emma cried too. I called the emergency line and the doctor told me his nose was probably not broken as little ones don't really have a nose bone yet. The bleeding stopped and we put him in bed but we woke him every two hours to make sure he was fine. Since Nathasha Richardson death, I take head traumas (even little one) more seriously. It was hard to wake up but I fell better checking on him during the night: better safe than sorry ... I took him to the doctor on wednesday and he was fine. The doctor gave me a medecine to help his nose heal. What a scary adventure ...

That night, I didn't stitch but last night, I stitched again on the reindeer. ( I admit it: I'm getting tired of the browns ... )

Chuy is on "vacation" ... again ... Well, he doesn't have the choice as the company is closing for a week because of the bad economy ... Another bad news is that his summer vacations are going to start on july 1 st until the end of august ... scary ...

I'm a spoiled little brat !!!

Not so much brat but spoiled for sure You may have noticed I didn't blog as regularly as before. I don't why ... maybe I lost my blogging mojo or maybe the garden took my blogging time. Anyway, I'm late at showing at what I got in the mail lately !!!

I won a giveaway on Shel blog! It was for a lovely popppy kit from a magazine. I was the very happy winner and look at what she sent me: a snowman chart that I already saw on some blogs and I always loved it! Of course , Shel didn't know it but I couldn't have been happier !!! Thank you Shel for the little surprise !!!

Then Pumpkin surprised with a little and inexpected gift. She read on her comments that I've never stitched with silks (I can only imagine the softness of those threads going trough the fabric !!!) Well, she decided to change that and offered me two flosses for me to try! Isn't she sweet? I secretly think she loves to play with my address (and I secretly love it to tell you the truth !!! )

Michelle was giving away some old magazine and I asked for the Cross stitch and needlework magazine: she was very nice to accept to ship here. Thank you Michelle, I really appreciate it

I also won a giveaway on a french blog. Melinette sent me a very nice, I thought I took pictures but couldn't find them so click here to see what I got. Merci Melinette !!!

I learned how to underline something as there are no shortcuts on Blogger (I thought you might be interested as well !!! ): To underline text, place a u inside <> in front of the word you want to underline and /u inside <> after the words you want to underline. These are html tags... which specify underline, you need to use html to underline text.

And last but not least, my snowman. The reindeer is not as exciting as the snowman so I'm having less fun stitching browns and grey but I won't give up !!!

Want to wish you a happy mother's day !!! It's not mother's day here (I don't know why as it seems to be mother's day everywhere else in the world!!!) I hope you all had a great day full of lave and laughters!

I was very busy in the garden again and it's too late to write a longer post (and I want to stitch !!!! I'm sure you understand the urge after a day without touching a needle ...) However, I'm sure you want to see my progress ... or not !!!

Special note to Marita: if you mistaken a reindeer for a donkey, Santa's sleigh may avoid your house next christmas !!! I know, reindeers are a little over sensitive

Monday

Today I'm sick: I have a sore throat and I feel cold. Emma didn't go to school because she had a tummy ache and she didn't feel ok.

Yesterday, we went to our local amusement park with a group of friends (mainly families from the kids school.) so I guess it didn't help because the weather was not really on our side: some shower at first then a gray sky almost all day. Of course, the kids didn't care and had a blast !!! (and we didn't have to wait a lot on the line thanks to the weather !!!) For the first time, Pierre tried some attractions he avoided in the past. He can be very proud of himself and Emma too who did some new rides as well !!!

He even tried the pirat boat but all the other kids kept telling him: Pierre , you are very white !!!

Steb decided to try a mild roller coaster but he didn't like it: it was too scary.

He also wanted to do like the big kids who crossed the bridge. He did it with the help of a friend:

I was surprised when he enjoyed (a lot) the rafting boats because the starting point is quite high:

He was not afraid and he did it several times !!!

I spent a lot of time on the water with Steb who really enjoyed those boats !!!
