Look at that !!!

Will you believe it? I already finished the hello kitty heart for Emma ... I started it on last tuesday and finished it yesterday afternoon !!! In less than a week ... Click to enlarge but I doubt you will see the opalescent fabric. Do you have some advice on how to take pictures in order to see the opalescent fabric?

Emma is very happy with her piece. Now Chuy may try to frame (even though he's like me: he has no idea how to do such a thing ... ) Otherwise, I may try to make a banner (once again, I have no idea how to make one ... )
This is my first finish for 2009. ( I know it should have been the fuchsia ...) Now I either start something or go back to the fuchsia. I didn't expect the floral heart to be a fast stitched ... Las night I didn't stitch because I didn't feel like stitching the light pink. Instead, I play with Animal crossing on the Nintendo DS ... I trying to get the kids loan pay off Emma is funny: she told me " I can't resist to go to the clothing store and buy new outfits !!!" Hope she manages her money better then she will be all grown up !!!

I'm very happy with my messenger pingbox (on the right) . I was able to have a little chat with Beatrice, Lauranless and Karen the other day !!! Thanks ladies. It was really a pleasure to talk with you live !!! Each time I'll have a new post, I'll get connected so whoever wants to stop by, I'll be happy to chat a little bit with you !

This year, Chuy and Google decided to celebrate Valentine's day. Chuy bought me a small rose bush that we could plant to in a pot later on. We didn't do anything special that day.
I love the packaging for the rose. I'm going to clean the bag and try to reuse it.

Just another day

A note for Megumi who started a new blog: Megumi,we can't leave comments on your blog ...

Have you noticed I added a chat on the right? Don't hesitate to drop me a line: we could chat live !!!!

Our white walls have now a new companion. My dad found this vintage poster a while ago (ok, a long long time ago) and it finally made it to our wall. (it was actually hard to find a ready to frame frame.) The colors are actually darker in real but the weather is really bad today.

It's amazing how a frame can change a room. It makes me feel more like at home. White walls are fine but you have to have frames or something on the walls to warm the rooms, otherwise it's a little depressing ...

A while ago, Cathy was destashing and offered some chart on her blog for free. I was one of the lucky recipient. I chose the stitching sampler by Sue Hillis, the Stoney Creek leaflet (because it has music notes and a violin on the back) and the Mirabilia chart. Thank you very much Cathy for your generosity. I'm very happy with my new stash !!!

Google celebrated the 100th birth of Charles Darwin yesterday with a new logo.
I made some good progress on my floral kitty. This time, I didn't centre my design and I start to wonder if I will have enough around the design to frame ...

I've been a bad bad girl

No, don't worry about it, I didn't throw my fuchsia out the window (with my scale as Jean suggested it !!! If you haven't read Jean comment yesterday, you sure missed something ) NO, I started something new It's not my fault ... See, yesterday, I got my FOTM from Silkweaver and I got this gorgous pink opalescent fabric It was perfect for the kitty floral heart kit by DMC I got in january for Emma. It's a small one ( 8"X8" or 20 X20 cm) so it's perfect for a break !!! I think I need (no I deserve !!!) a break before the breakdown arrives See, I've been stitching the Fuchsia for three months now ...
And here is my first picture ( I told you it's a small one ) :

Now, I need to tell you an exciting news: Lanarte has his new spring collection !!! You can see some new Lanarte kits here and here . I like that one
and I totally fell in love with this Marjolein Bastin kit (I think they already got one like that but I was never able to buy one on Ebay ; they always sold for a lot of money ... ) :
Thanks to all who tried to save my fuchsias !!! Back to stitching now (what? who knows............................... )

An unexpected gift

Look how my mailbox was generous yesterday !!! She brought me a yellow enveloppe from Canada. Pumpkin had asked my new address and I had given it to her but asked her to not play with it. Well, she didn't listen and send me these goodies to thank me for a gift I had sent her a while ago. This is a Sue Hillis chart that I always love. I am in love with Santa so stitching his working clothes is going to be fun !!! (I love the charm: the keys to the toys storage rooms )
She also sent a little Mary Engelbreit kit that I love. Isn't it cute? I love M. engelbreit.
And she joined a very nice pink scarf (for breast cancer ) Emma may steal it to protect her violin and spread the news about breast cancer research and charity.
Thank you very much Cathey. I really love these gifts. You made my day and I can't wait to stitch these patterns

Yesterday morning, Steb was yawning like a very tired boy so I was sure he will sleep during nap time but he had more fun playing with his sister's flashlight so at 5 pm, someone had very heavy eyelids ...
I let him sleep for an hour but he was hard to wake up ...

My fuchsia? What can I say? Boredom? Get me out of here? Drowned in high greens? I am left with all the watercolors effect now: lots of greens but even more light pink (that I barely see but are necessary for the watercolor effect ... )
So I finished an orange petal that was between two of my working copies. I added the light pink on the left but you have to believe me as it's barely visible on the pic. Click to enlarge !!!
Here you can see, I finished the green leaf, and the light pink that is around and this time you can see the light pink that is barely visible but is E V E R Y W H E R E ... Click to enlarge !!!
So, if I don't throw it out of the window tonight, you may see more progress tomorrow
