While we were gone ...

My mom did commit a murder ... I have to be honest about it

Here are the pictures ...

Caution: graphic pictures ahead! Please, make sure your children are not with you ...

Yep ! in 7 days she managed to kill our chile plant/tree She didn't water it at all and it didn't resist the apartment's heat ... We grew that chile plant from seeds Chuy brought from Mexico ... It is extremly spicy and he loves it !!! Well there is hope but I don't know if it will be enough ...

For her defense, and I think she needs to hire a professional lawyer here, she said she didn't see it That tree touch the ceiling and in a small appartment, you can't avoid it Well, let's be positive ... the goldfish is still alive

Being a couch potatoe can sometimes be more productive than we think !!! Look at my bunny girl:

She's all ready to kiss that boy I'm wondering if she's not too young to start kissing guys?

Lazy sunday !!!

I played the lazy one this afternoon: the weather is cold and didn't feel like going anywhere ... beside my couch; so you can call me the stitching couch potatoe That's what I did: I stitched my bunny girl. I know I'm supposed to stitch my Christmas tree for the SAL but I can't ... See I went from being a starter to a finisher so it's hard, even impossible for me, to just abandon my bunnies ... I have to finish them before to even start the tree! Anyway, the bunnies are a small project so I think that's fine if I am a little late, right?

Here is my yesterday progress:

She can almost dance !!!!

Saturday .

Christmas is officially over in our home: we took the tree down this afternoon. It was time: in our small appartment, the tree was taking a huge place and we fell so overcrowded ... Can't wait to have a bigger place and a bigger car

What do you all have against Couscous? It's very good. Okay, mine come from the can but my mom make a "real" one !!! And it's a complete meal: meat, vegetable and the grains. Everybody likes it very much here, beside Pierre, of course

Look at my bunny: the backstitches really bring her to life I try to do a little backstitch everyday because it keeps me going. After stitching the fairy, this one looks really huge. What I stitched is already half the size of the fairy .
I had to write the Disney Company again because after the first mail, I never heard from them (in spite of 3 or 4 mails). I asked them for a complete refund as most of my order couldn't be replaced ( most of my items were sold out ... ) Too bad ...

How to torture your son ...

in two acts: first, prepare him Couscous for lunch then make mashed potatoes and ham for dinner He was not a happy camper at all ...

I made some yellow progress in my bunny girl. tomorrow progress is going to be more exciting as I am now working on the backstitching of the dress.
I prepared the flosses for my SAL: Oh christmas tree. I am just missing one DMC 677. I still can't believe I will have to pay 1.10 euros for this one ( about $1.62 yes, it hurts ...) I chose one Silkweaver fabric I had in my stash: 32 count lugana Sand. I don't think I will stitch was is around the children. (I'll avoid the painful metallic threads )

Muchas gracias !!!!

Remember when I was complaining about my search for spanish books or spanish children songs? Well, look at what we got in the mail from Carla in Peru:

Waow! I was so surprised to get a book. I knew she had sent us the CD Miss Rosi but I didn't know she will also send a book! And look at the beautiful Christmas card she sent: so traditional and modern at the same time. I love it !!!

Some little people also liked the gifts:
Emma doesn't have naturally pink lips: she got make up from her great grand mother from Chritsmas.

Carla: Chuy and I can't thank you enough for the great gift you sent to Emma. I am very moved by your genorisity . Ths songs are great and exactly what I had in mind. I checked in the internet if her CD's were available in Spain but I couldn't find anything: they are really missing a great artist !!!

Carla: you are a wonderful lady
Gracias! Merci! Thank you!

Floppy ears

She has ears ! I focused on the face because the dress is quite boring: different shades of yellows that look the same for me It's really a cute project though. I had this kit for quite a while so I'm happy to stitch it on a Silkweaver solo to add a little twist to it. Therefore, I won't stitch the yellow that surrounds the bunnies. (half stitches )

I called Lourdes yesterday for my missing Lanarte kits and she said she sent 2 packages one week before we left so it didn't arrive on time ... Now I am worring if it will make it safely to the base ... Let's cross our fingers ...

Have you check Debi's blog ? She is stitching the butterfly fairy by Nimue but kept the original colors. I'm curious to see if they will look the same and if she will manage to do a better job than me at the face (still wonders how the designer got that pouty look ... )

I still haven't heard from the Disney company: I think I will called them directly instead of emailing them ... Today was so boring ... it is very cold, the sky is gray ... Chuy went back to work: he works afternoon shift and will come home around 9.30 pm. My post is like me: boring

Look at me

Says the bunny girl:

What bothers me with this design is that what you see is not what you get: by this, I mean the backstitch on the picture is not the backstitch on the chart So while I stitch, I check the picture to see what will be better on the design ...

I haven't had time to tell you all about my trip. Today, I updated my
photo album and this took some time ... I added the all new Eskimo kiss. I created new albums for the Butterfly by Nimue and I put all the gifts I got in my christmas exchange. I didn't forget to add the christmas cards exchange I received!

Thanks for your comments on my finishes. I think it's the first year I do have a lot of finishes and not a lot of WIP ... I hope I'll keep this path

2007 finishes !

Here are the pictures of what I finished in 2007 :

First, my Winnie the Pooh by Royal Paris (I'm very happy to have finished that one because it took me 7 months to complete and it's truly beautiful !!! )

Then I stitched Birdhouse artistry by Lanarte:

And in 2007, I feel in love (I'm so weak ) with Christmas Stories by Dimensions.

And in july I decided to stitch something for my sister in law Lourdes : Angel kisses by Dimensions on my first Silkweaver !!! I got really tired of all these half points so I went on with a Lanarte: Bolly the bear - summer (or for me, my mexican bear !!!)I decided to stitch my first Vervaco : I still need to stitch her name and birthdate (I had lost the chart ...)

I fell again in love in 2007 (so weak I'm telling you ) with a Lanarte: Rose and delfblue. I still need to scan this one again for a better picture.

And I finished the year with my cute fairy Papillon by Nimue :

We'll see if 2008 is as full as 2007 but I have a lot of nice projects in my stash and I'm supposed to start with a SAL : Oh christmas tree by Lavender and lace.

Have a great year full of projects. I have so much fun checking everybody's projects: you are so inspiring to me !!! Thanks all for reading my blog and blogging yourself: I love reading your blogs !!!
