Another wing

I really gave up on the little boy's wing (I'll keep it for the last moment !!) But I did stitch one of the little girl's wing. The fastest one of course My scanner is still running very slow. I think I'll follow Karen's advice and reinstall the scanner. I hate when electronics fail me I had bought a store brand color ink and it is not accepted by the scanner So tomorrow I'll buy the HP brand ... I need to make a color copy of the right wing. I'll do it this afternoon at my parent's house They don't mind having me stealing their ink (especially because they won't know it ) I also took a picture of the whole design with my camera. I'll try topost it later or tomorrow. I'll upload it in my photo album later on too.

Today, Chuy and my parents are trying to sell some of our kids clothes. In France, people gather in the streets of one town. We don't have garaga sales like in the US. (I used to go to garage sales often in Texas) We'll meet them to eat a picnic. We did that in june and the kids loved it. Then, I'll go to my parents' house where Esteban will take his nap: i'll stitch during that time of course The only problem at their house is the lack of good light. I don't understand how people can live in a dark house. sometimes they don't even turn on the lights and it doesn't seem to bother them ...

Dove

I gave up on the wing yesterday. I wanted to keep stitching the wing and then, I got fed up with it. So I stitched the right dove, near the little girl. I tried to scan it but I have a problemwith the scanner. I tried to scan something at a high setting and since then , my scanner is not working fine... I don't know what to do as I don't know anything about computer ... I wish I knew though If someone can help: I'll be happy to get any advice !!! The scanner is not working great. I think there is a problem with the software: it's running pretty slow ... At least, you can see the dove

Good news on the painting front: they took down the scaffolding ! Freedom is back !!! YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't have my shutters closed all day long. The chili's plants are on the balcony with the tomato plant. They will take less room there than in the kitchen

News

I am really tired of working on that wing. I didn't color properly each I was stitching do I am a little lost in what need to be done Last night I stopped stitching because I felt so bored doing that project ... It makes me loose interest in stitching. I just hope it's just a temporary state of mind ... I think I need to color on the chart everywhere I stitched on the wing and then have several needles ready with the colors I will need because I am wasting a lot of time changing my needle each time for one or two stitches ... Today, I took a picture with my digital camera.

There is a good side on having the family here: I got some of my stash back !!! Yeah !!!!!!!!! I got mainly my leaflets and magazines that I bought while I was living in Texas. It's great to see all my old stash. My tastes changed a little bit and I may sell some as I know there are stuffs I know I will never stitched !!!

They also brought some goodies : mainly for Chuy as I don't eat anything with chile's spices in it

I got my Fabric of the Month fabric from Silkweaver yesterday. I got Periwinkle Mist and Sapphire Sky.

I'm back !!!

I got back my phone line yesterday !!! I don't know what really happened. On thrusday we lost our regular phone line then on friday a technician switched our line with a woman's line ... suddendly I had another phone number... I made several calls to the phone company, explained why our line is important and so on ... Of course, they didn't care and planned for a technician to come on monday... We had given Lorena (Chuy's niece in Germany) my cellular number so she was able to reach me when they arrived here. It was hard not having my internet connection . I think I'm a little addicted

I made some progress yesterday in my angels. They are not finished as you can guess Here is the pic of last night work:

His wing is really a pain. I have a lot of white left everywhere. I'm sure her wings are going to be easier. I'm not quite done on his wing because of all the unstitch part I left everywhere. I have stitched 80 % of the pattern. I can't wait to finish it to stitch something different ... Like I didn't feel well today, I decided to order the two lanarte kits I showed you last time. (still visible on that page) I also added a 32 count antique white lugana fabric for a lanarte kit I own. I want to change the linen fabric for my favorite lugana. I placed my order with Sew and so.

Lost my connection

Hi everybody

I lost my internet connection because my phone provider switch my phone number with an unknown person. So I now get phone calls for this person but i can't have internet anymore. :-(( I hope they will fix it on monday. Chuy's family arrived and we're having a good time. Pictures whenever possible !!!

No picture ...

No picture today: I stitched just a little bit yesterday because I came back late last night. The progress is too small to show !!! Sorry ! Right now, I'm taking a (short) computer break from cleaning to write this message. My mom took the 3 kids to help me out. I still have to go to Emma's violin class meeting at 6.00 pm ... She didn't pratice much during vacations ... Shttt ...... Don't tell the teacher

Thank you all for asking about Esteban. He's feeling better today. Yesterday, the painters woke him up again by making some noise. So he slept in my arms for another hour. Then he was grumpy for the rest of the day ... I'm glad he's sleeping at my mom today as the painters are making noise again ...

I also want to thank you all for the comments you are leaving on my blog lately. It's really nice to feel the support behind the screen !!! I think I may have given up on the angels without you (especially when I was drowned in the blues ... )

Today is the day for Chuy's family to leave Texas !!! They are going to arrive tomorrow morning to Germany (german time) . I hope everything will go well ...

Three days.

Now things are getting serious: Chuy's family will be here in 3 days. I'm late in my re-organisation of the apartment ... So chuy said it's time to go to stage 2: putting things in boxes and hidden in the our basement room He's a specialist of piles ... I don't want more piles: when he does that I loose a lot of things ... Men, men, men Anyway with esteban in my arms all the time, it's hard to do anything ...

Last night I called Lourdes, my sister in law, my stash partner in the US and the future owner of two cute angels . I tried to see if she knew anything about what Chuy's other brothers are going to send us. I know: you are not supposed to find out what the surprises can be but it's hard to resist Chuy has 4 brothers in Fort Worth. Well, she knew nothing beside one brother sending pictures of his kids. We'll have to wait ...

I am still stitching the wing and I scanned the picture because I don't think we can see a lot of things with a digital pictures. I don't stitch the purple cross stitch and half cross stitch at the same time anymore. It was driving me crazy ... I think I goes faster that way too. I hope to have time to stitch more this afternoon as we have the usual spetember meeting at school this evening. Pierre's meeting is tonight and emma's meeting is thrusday night. He always last until 9.00 pm. Chuy is working afternoon shift this week so my mom will feed and take care of the kids until I come back.

Sleepy !

What a night !!! Esteban is sick and threw up last night. We went to bed at 1.30 am ... I took him to the doctor this morning and like always: nothing obvious: no sore throat, no ear infection ... It's probably a virus ! Am I the only parent who has kids who gets fever only? Esteban is a little heater. Right now, he's sleeping and someone is playing with a drill

On the stitching front. I think I made great progress on the little boy. I made one of his wing (the smallest of course ) and I decided to stitch the white all around the large wing. I even added the backstitches because othrwise we don't see anything !!! I am struggling with the purple in the middle because I have to use one strand of purple but with one symbol, it's a full cross stitch and with another one, it's a half point ... And both are mixed !!! enough to drive you crazy I took my photo with my digital camera because the design is now really too big to fit completly in the scanner. I hate the painters They were the ones who played with the drill Esteban woke up screaming when they started breaking something above his bedroom with the drill. So I spent the next 25 minutes with my hands on his ears he was so scared ... Poor boy: he slept only 1 hour and the fever medecine is not working yet ... If Steb was fine, I would have left but I can't take him out with fever.
