How nice to progress

Look:

That is what I call motivation: I stitch, I progress, I see it Life's good in my own litlle stitching world

For those who want to buy the Dust fairy, I think you should get it from the Nimue's site. I think they speak english and the shipping seem to be the postage actual cost.

I am not a quiter !!!!!!!!!!!!!

but I need a good break from my never ending Lanarte... So I'm still happily stitching my little mouse who makes me very happy !!!!

Yep, you even see a little bit of the head popping out of the wheelbarrow ...

I have a new crush: this little lady. Isn't she cute? It's called Fairy dust from Nimue . yes, it's a small project, that means I have the right to buy it

She seems to be the big sister of the butterfly fairy I stitched a while ago:

Thanks for your nice comments on my progress (I'm glad you see them as I feel I'm not going anywhere myself ... ) This afternoon, I even gave up on my Lanarte and grabbed my Vera the mouse project (the one I'm supposed to stitch ONLY when I have to wait somewhere ... ) It was a nice feeling to visibly progress. That's the problem with the Lanarte now: I feel I'm stuck with the roof and all the scattered stitches I missed. Even though I try to color my chart as I stitch, I always forget some stitches ... It doesn't help when I want to find my way in that green forest ...

Today, at the supermarket, I met an old friend who moved to another area. The last time I saw her, she had 2 boys and now she has 3 I really need to keep in touch with her as she is very funny and energetic. (she's also a psychologist but you will never guess !!!) I need funny people in my life

Sad news .........

My LNS is closing .........My mom passed in front of the store yesterday and saw they were doing 40% off on all the store. Chuy had given me a 30 euros gift certificate for christmas. We went there this morning. Unfortunately, all the nice charts and kits were gone and it was hard to find a way to spend those 30 euros ... (I know it's hard to believe, but there weren't really anything left in my taste ...) So I bought 2 piece of fabric and 3 charts. The owner had left and the employee told me because I had a gift certificate she won't be able to give the 40 % off and will charge everything at regular price! It didn't seem fair to me as a gift certificate is money to spend in the store whatever prices they have. I had to argue with her to get my discount. I really felt bad as I was going to that store to buy my fabrics and liked it. Now the store is going to be closed and I will have bad memory of it ...

I think I'm almost done with the roof !!! I need to triple check if I forgot anything. When I look at the chart, my eyes almost cross as there are so many stitches all together ... I still have some white to stitch though ... Well, I'm hoping to work on the left side of the design tonight !!! Yeah to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!

How it went ....

It went great!!!! Chuy came with me and it was necessary as Chuy was holding his head and ear and I was holding the container beneath his ear. The doctor was pouring lukewarm water in his ear. Nothing was really going out. The doc even asked me if I really put the drops like he asked to When he almost gave up, Steb cried a little bit and here was the plug !!! The doctor said he probably had this plug for a while and it was very dry (that's why it was hard to take it out ...). On the right ear, things went pretty smothly and the plug was out very fast. I'm glad we did it. Pierre was a real trooper and didn't cry , except when the first plug went out. He's the only one of the 3 kids who is not that sensitive to pain he sometimes falls without any cry.

Here is my new picture of my Lanarte (just a close up of the roof where I am working right now.) Doesn't seem much to me but I still have to stitch a lot of green ... Fun, fun, fun

Look what happen when there is no TV in the house:

Three perfect kids playing together without fighting (until next time ... )

Today was Emma last music class !!! She still has her violin class next wednesday and her audition. She's going to play with another little girl. The violin teacher told me again that Emma is talented. Of course, it makes me happy but honestly, me, who has to listen her when she pratices, I don't really think that. It's even kind of weird to think I could have a talented kid in a field where I have absolutly no talent ... She still need to concentrate a little more though. The teacher told me it's like she doesn't realize yet that it's her who makes the sounds.

June ? It's pinata season !!!

At least at our house Emma's birthday is on july 8 th and she's going to have her birthday party on july 5 th. This year, Chuy has already started to make them (usually he's late ... ). Emma helped a little bit. You won't believe what she chose this year : Pikachu from the Pokemon and a . I think the Pokemon is going to be a little hard to make ...

I'm glad you all liked my idea to all go on a cruise !!! That would be a wonderful way to spend money And of course, if you read my blog, you'll be invited to join the fun !!!

I'm still stitching my Lanarte ... I am NOT a QUITTER just a whiner It's such a pain to stitch those scattered stitches: I even get lost looking at my chart. I never know where I am on the roof ... No pictures or you'll get bored.

Here are some states I've visited. I really need to visit the east coast one day !!! Show yours

Tomorrow, I have my appointment with our family doctor for Steb. I put the drops as the doc asked and I hope he'll manage to get all the ear wax out of there We'll see if Steb will let him do it ... Chuy will come with me to help holding him. (He's almost 33 lbs / 15 kg ) Dawn, it's the first time Esteban will have his ear cleaned ... I hope it goes well.

Mail and meme or meme and mail !!!!

Where were you 10 years ago? June 1998... I was in France and was ready to go back to Texas !!!

Five things on your to do list for today
- 1. send my resumes to find a job ... 2. finish to clean up my stitching cabinet (and see what I could sell) 3. do the kids' homeworks ( I hate that but the kids are not in vacations...) 4. organize the appartment (an on going project ...) . 5. exercise ...

If I were a billionaire
- That's why I wanted to do this meme and I'm sure you're going to love it !!! If I was rich, I will organize a cruise with all my on line stitching and non stitching friends and their family from all over the world. We could stitch in the morning and enjoy great time with our families in the afternoon, visiting great locations !!! A SPA will be the must because we all deserve to be pampered, right? That's what I'll do when I'll win the lottery

Places I’ve lived
- Normandy, FRANCE. Santa Fe, New Mexico USA. Nochitslan, Zacatecas state, MEXICO. Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

I got great mail today: first I got a letter from Becca with the chart I won on her blog. It's a Tatty Teddy chart. I love this little character and I'm very lucky because it's about christmas !!! Can't wait to stitch this one when I'll be finish with my Lanarte !!!! Becca even added a little band to stitch the whole chart as an advent calendar. Thanks a lot Becca: I'm very happy with my chart !

I signed for a new FOTM by Silkweaver: 2 solos 13 x 18 a month (it's my wish list). I don't have a lot of 13 x 18 so it's a great way to get more stash with unique colors. (and not having to virtually fight with a lot of ladies on line when they add their solos)

And here is my "drive me nuts" Lanarte! I know you are going to think I'm almost done with the roof but not: it's just an optical illusion

Steb is sick: he threw out last night and had temperature ( 39.8 C or almost 104 F) He is staying with me today and tomorrow. He seems a little better so I'll wait before to go to the doctor. Me, I'm a little tired because it's getting hard to fall asleep only at one or two in the morning Who said I'm getting old?
