Great mail!

Sometimes, a trip to the mailbox is the best trip you'll ever make in months !!! This morning was one of those moments that make my ordinary life a little bit shiny I got my silkweaver fabrics that had traveled to another town and I got my World of cross stitching issue 129 !!! And what did I see on the cover? A somebunny to love pattern I will stitch as I those cute bunnies !!! I am a little bit disapointed by the Popcorn calendar: they gave only 6 patterns... They could have made 12 patterns: one for each month... Here are the pics:

I'll take pictures of my fabbies later on when I'll be able to open my blinds.

Edit: Ooops ! Maribel: I should open my EYES

Chiloe's city

Each time someone clicks on the link it adds one person in my town. That's the only thing you need to do. And it's only one click per person per day !!!

frog, frog, frog ....

Well, do you remember about the left pink ribbon that I told you about a few post back? I had told you I had a problem and I gave up working on the left, thinking I'll fix the problem when I'll be working on the little boy's head and his arm ... Wrong! It doesn't work that way ... Last night I stitched the arm of the boy and here I am: there is a problem around the area of the pink ribbon and I can't figure tout where and why !!! When I double check, everything seems to be at the right place so why is it not as it should be??? It is driving me crazy ... Can't I just throw it by the window and have the guys working with the scaffoldings deal with it? I don't know what should I do : I'd like to ignore it and just keep stitching "around" the mistake but I can't because there is a dark area between the 2 little guys ! This dark area is important! And what if it was a sign I need to start a new project? who said it is too easy? Well, maybe she doesn't need a pink ribbon, right? Ribbons are a little bit of fashion lately

Last night I couldn't fall asleep - again - so I went out of the bed and came to the living room to read a little bit. I chose the world of cross stitching and I checked again the 3 little mice by Magaret Sherry. Then a crasy idea came to my mind (only those come to you at one the morning!) I thought I could just cut the fabric I am currently stitching the angels and use this part for those mice !!! (the design is stitched on hand dye fabric!!! ) The fabric is too big but I'll cut it only after it is completed !

This morning esteban went to the daycare center to get used to it again. Back to school is on monday and he'll go back full time. Vacations are over ... He didn't want to pee there and waited to be home. Then we went to the mall where he accepted to pee in the public restroom!!! Well, of course, he peed a little bit in his pant as you have to rush to the only restrooms they have there ...

Yesterday, I received one of the 2 packages from Silkweaver I was expected. There were 2 solos! One is for my petal fairy with some peach in the fabric ( 28 ct jazlyn) . I think it will be perfect! (of course, I checked last tuesday solo's and there were more peach kind of fabrics I could have used but I had already oredered that one ... ) I also oredred a small solo ( 11 X 12 ) in greenish colors (28 ct lugana). The 9X13 solo is in the blue/purple shades (32 ct lugana). And my free fabric is a 9X13 Daffodil in 28 count opalescent lugana. I never stitched anything on yellow. Has anyone stitched something on yellow fabric??? I should have received the other one today as Tracy sent them the same day. I just got the custom form so I called the post office and talked to a very nice man (rare enough to be noticed ) I had the number of the package on the form so he checked for me and was able to trace it down !!! It went to another town and should be on his way back to me ... I still scare it could get lost in the way. Especially because it is the package that has a lot of small solos ... You know what the guy told me: " ah! you are one of this ebay buyer, aren't you? " Well, not this time

Yesterday we went to get the mini blinds for my living room french window. I can now see the workers but THEY can't see ME Today they mounted those scaffolding close to our balconies ... I think tomorrow i will start to see only scaffoldings ... How depressing ...

I did stitch !

I stitched last night. My one day break was necessary I think. I started the little boy's collar. I did the backstitch under his chin and around his ear. I decided to make a close-up when I scanned this morning. Honestly I am not sure you can see anything new in my sea of blues ... Look I have: pale blue, light blue, pale blue purple, blue, light sky blue and light blue purple And like all dimensions kits, some are stitched with one strand, some with 2 strands and some in mixed colours (but no more than 3 strands in that kit) I think I need not to think too much on that pattern: just stitch a little bit everyday.

Pierre's always been a huge Pokemon fan! It all started when his cousins in Fort worth were collecting the cards (Pierre was 3 y.o. and wanted to do like them!!!) When we arrived in france, the Pokemon wave just had reached the old continent and Pierre was very happy with the cards his cousins gave him. When he got sick, some friends offered him a game boy and he got a Pokemon game. This spring, the Pokemon fashion came back to his school with new cards. Boys exhanged them again. Then this summer, they had a new game out: Pokemon Pearl but only for Nintendo DS. We had only the game boy advance. So we got the Nintendo DS. Anyway, after a while, they don't make new game for the game boy advance ... Emma got the Nintendog which is a fun game: they have to take care of dog: feed them, walk them, learn them new tricks, and so on ... I have to limit playing time though which create conflicts ... but I think it's necessary !

Yesterday, Emma felt like watching old video tapes: she loves to see hersefl when she was a baby. That was a good idea because we saw their uncle, aunt and cousin on the tape. That's more real than seeing pictures in an album !!! So they will have an idea of what they look like when they will be here Watching this old videos, you also realize how time flies ... My baby girl is seven years old already !!!

Pierre complained of chest pain this morning. He already complained about it yesterday so I may take him to the doctor if he still complain about it. With him, you never know if it is a small pain or a strong one as he' s very sensitive to pain ... I can't help worrying for him ...

I didn't tell you before but they are painting the outside walls of our building. They started with the other side of the building so we didn't have any scaffolding blocking our view. Well, this is going over very soon as they have started building those on our side The worst thing is that we don't have curtains !!! We live in the third floor with no building in front of us. We can see very far away actually. When we visited the appartment, Pierre said: we can the whole world! Only the kitchen doesn't have french windows and when the sun is here, the appartment is so bright: that is something I really like about it. But tranquility is over. I can hear right now the workers working really hard at mounting that scaffolding together We did anticipated and got mini blind for the kitchen. Now, we feel the pressure and we going to get mini blinds for the living room this afternoon. I don't want the painters to have a direct access to our intimacy . Yet, the prospect of living in the dark for more than 2 months doesn't appeal either ... That's what happen to Pierre and Emma's bedroom: I only open their shutters after 6 pm and on week end. (for 2 months now, it is been like that ... Now their bedroom feels cold ...) It is also going very hard to only see scaffolding on week end... And the project can be delay because we only see painters once in a while and never more than 2 painters ...

It seems a lot of people came to the blog yesterday. I was even surprised by the number! But only my faithfull readers (and very much appreciated ) dropped me a line so don't hesitate to leave a comment: it always makes my day
and I love discovering new blogs as well !

Well, if you didn't fall asleep after this long post: have a great day !
