Emma actual birthday !!!

Last time, I forgot to tell you that Emma's birthday was actually on july 8 th. We did her party on saturday because school finished on thursday and I was afraid if we would have waited too long that all the kids would have left on vacations.

Thanks for your birthday wishes for her. She's such a sweet girl. I can't believe she's 9 already ... We did celebrate her "real" birthday yesterday at my mom's. The cake was a strawberry cake very very delicious (to die for to be exact !!! )

She didn't expect her grand ma's gift: a radio set with Hello Kitty on it !!!!!!!!!!!!! I now expect no more fighting between Pierre and her for the radio !

It was definitely a Hello Kitty day yesterday !!! She's also got her first watch.

She really had a good day !!!

Now, you will have to enlarge to be able to see my wonderful 1 over 2 progress. Yes, because I suffered people stitching that 1/2 ! I tried to stitch two days on 1/2 and yes, I did suffer because I don't find any pleasure stitching with one thread only ... Unfortunately, I have more Lanarte kits that use 1/2.... Not all Lanarte designs have 1/2 though. I understand it gives something more to the finished piece but it's a real pain for me ... In the future, I'll try to avoid a piece that require green stitched on 1/2 !!! So last night, I gave up on the 1/2 (oops ... ) to have a lot of fun stitching on 2/2. Why do I progress faster on 2/2 ? Can you explain me why?
