I AM a good girl !

Why? Because even though I couldn't resist starting something new (but very small ), I did stitch on my house last night (can you say: good girl here ?!!! ) . It's really time to finish that one as it's driving me crazy: I keep looking for those forgotten stitches ( because I did forget some, voluntary or not ... ) I also have a part in 1 over 2 next to the BIG green bush: I keep that one to the end (just for the fun !!! )

So I have an update with my little birdie. I even scanned the whole piece so you can see the fabric. As you will see the fabric is quite an experiment (and the fabric is slighty a little darker in real.)

If you like Christmas, you may like this free chart from Novalee . It's in french but I can help if there is some stuffs you don't understand.

Oooooooops , I did it ...... again

You know how it goes: you are a crazy lady who is attracted by big projects then it is an agony to finish them BUT you are too proud to put them yourself in the UFO bin (you prefer they slip there by accident ) What you have to understand is that it is NOT my fault at all . I don't know how this little kit arrived in front of my eyes (what? that ebay purchase that I did may have helped ? Umm, maybe ... but that's not the point!) So, that little tiny kit was in front of my eyes and minutes later I was digging in my fabric treasure chest. Once again,I was the victim of cuteness. And if you've been a victim yourself in the past, you understand me, right? So I started this 7 X 5 ( you see, I'm very reasonnable )

It was hard to choose the right fabric for this design. I decided to choose a small solo from Silkweaver. It is one of these solos you wonder what you're going to do with it. So the color is close to bird's color. It is like an experiment for me.

Marita, you're going to laugh: my new stash (the Lanarte flowers) size is 50 X 60 cm

Debbie left a comment that really hit home: Isn't it a shame that flowers always seem to be accompanied by leaves? She's right: what don't they create flowers without leaves like they created cats without hairs?

I can hear you !!!!!!!!

Look at my new stash:

Oh I can hear you shouting one word at me But how could I resist such a beautiful design? I bought the kit for a very good price as this kit is OOP and I have the original fabric that is a little dyed.

I'm not going to show you a pic of my Lanarte (sorry Karen ) because I did stitch it last night but honestly, I think I'm the only one who can see the progress so I don't want to show you a pic that won't look different from the previous day ... Boring for you.

Thanks to Time to stitch, I found a free
christmas chart that I love. Gazette is going to give the chart in 6 parts. I need not to forget to download them because I may stitch it one day. Check her many free charts: she may has some you'll love. I saw a very nice snow men.

Anonymous
: my Lanarte is called:
country home (that's the offcicial name on their web site.) I added the link so you can check the Lanarte site (be ready to see many beautiful designs - if you like that style of course.) I bought mine used on Ebay and you may find this kit under different names as until recently, Lanarte used to give only numbers to their kits (this one is 34472).

Thanks again for your wonderful comments: you always make my day. You may not be aware of it but without your nice comments, I may have given up on my loooooooooooong and a little boring Lanarte long ago . (you know in the privacy of my home ... well, it may have slipped into my UFO basket ... You know ... accidents happen )Thanks for the support ladies !!! You're the best

Are you as supple as

a 3 years old? Steb is probably the silliest of the three kids.
I know it is hard to believe I still have a lot of places to stitch in my Lanarte but it's true. The good thing is that I could pretend it's finished and nobody will notice these scattered stitches ...

I mainly built my wall last night. Now, it's even hard for me to see if I missed something I won't complain as I don't think someone will ever notice.

Windy, I thought the same thing about the notebooks: what if I don't buy the right amount of pages? Will my son get expelled from school? Steb got his new back pack and played the super model for you ladies:

So won't he be the cutest student in the whole school?

Look!

Because a lot of people stopped by the other day, I thought you all deserve a little treat: a whole picture of my Lanarte !!! Aren't you lucky?

And a closer look at the white rose bush:

Still a lot to do: finish the rose bush, add more bricks to my wall, finish the ground close to the green boots, finish the roof (because when some part got boring I skipped it but if I want to see this piece finish one day, I will have to stitch it anyway .... right? )

We got a busy day today: homeschooling at my friend's house (we work especially on math problems and I think the 3 girls are going to hate me at the end of the 2 weeks ) and in the afternnoon, shopping for school supplies: look at my ticker: back to school is ( too) close ... Steb got a brand new backpack !!!! Can't believe I just bought a school backpack for my baby ... Now I have to sort out all the supplies . I still need to buy some stuffs for Pierre as some teachers want a notebook with 120 pages, others want one with 190 pages ( I, I think they just want to drive the parents crazy )

Beware !

If you got a mail from me saying "dear friend", don't open it : I didn't send you anything with this tittle from my yahoo e mail address. I don't know how it went out and will scan my couputer right after I've finished to write this message. Sorry about that ...

It's monday !!!!

We broke a record yesterday: 80 visitors in one day Unfortunately, the shy people remained shy and no new friend wrote a comment beside brokenfairy who stopped to say hi. I'm a little disapointed as I thought people would be kind enough to say a little hello. If you look at the flags on the right, you would see I have readers from all over the world. Isn't it great stitching can interest so many people from so many different countries? Anyway, thanks a lot to my faithful readers who let such sweet comments yesterday. You made my day !!! So tell me, how did it work on your blog? Did you get a lot of new people come through?

Still working on the rose bush ... Still pretty boring and I'm not sure you will see any change ... I put a picture anyway: just in case you have a very good eye sight I still need to stitch more white roses ...

Starting today, we have a new routine: every morning, I go to my friend Astrid's house and I do some kind of homeschooling for her daughters and mine. I also prepare something for Pierre. Back to school is in 2 weeks already I don't feel the summer is too long (I just wish the sun can be here to make us feel more like summer and less like fall ... )

I just found out my friend
laurence has a blog so check it out !!
