First day of vacation !!!

It's supposed to be the first day of vacation but we still had to go to speech therapy (but I'm smart: I had changed the appointment from 9.30 to 10.00 am Yes, I didn't want to wake up to early ) My mom invited us to eat so we had an easy day ! I even brought my stitching bag with me but of course, I didn't have time to stitch as I went shopping (I had to take advantage of my free babysitter )

Marie guessed right: I was NOT stitching the x-mas tree last night: I was having too much fun stitching those happy colors and I made good progress I think !!!

I didn't do any backstitch so it's going to look even nicer after Now, I have to ask you something: do you think the mom's smile looks really weird? Do you think I should make it a little round ? For those who likes my fabric, it's winter skye opalescent by Silkweaver. The scan never shows the opalescence so one day, I'll try to take a picture with my camera !

Chuy's company organizes events like trips, shows, and so on for their employees. We decided to take advantage of those because they give great prices. In april, we are going to go to Disneyland Paris for a day ( I know it's not enough time to do everything ) We are going to pay only 45 euros for the whole family (we're 5 and this price includes the trip + the park's tickets ) and wait: the company gives us 10 € each to have lunch !!! We couldn't pass off that great opportunity! The kids are very excited

And that's not all: in may, we are going to go to London for a 3 days week end Isn't it great? The price will be calculated depending on how much we earn and everything is included except for a meal on our way back !!!! I already went to London when I was 20 so it's great to be able to go back with my children !!! Chuy is also excited ! He would have never thought he will visit so many different countries when he was growing up in a small mexican ranch And you know what is nice: I will be able to buy some english cross stitch magazines

Jeez, and I thought I had nothing to tell tonight ...

Wow - your snowman family and your L&L piece are coming along so quickly! I've been gone a week, but I see great progress on both pieces! :)

How lucky you get such a great deal on Disneyland AND London! I bet they'll both be loads of fun. :D

Your needle has been smokin'! I think the mother's mouth looks a little strange.

Oh, I'm so jealous of your trips. I love to travel and don't have the opportunity or the money to very often. Even a quick trip to Ottawa can get me all happy and excited.

Great progress Chiloe. I'm very envious of your travel plans.

Personally I like the Mum Snowmans smile, seems a perfect mum smile.
