Ready? Set?

Ladies, it's time to take your glitter ball out of your secret closet again! Have your personal DJ ready because we have a finished here

It appeared less dark usually on the scanner:I don't know what it's going on again with that scanner ... I started it on october 13 th and finished last night . It took me time to look for all those forgotten (avoided) stitches It was very boring but so necessary to be able to put it aside !!! I'm so happy because I was getting really bored ... Now, I'm back to the butterfly fairy The design is smaller so I'm hoping in finishing it fast !

Today is december 1 st: we are going to Germany in 20 days! I better start planning this trip: I'm going to make a list of what we need to bring over there: some french food for Lorena, some french chocolate to send to my SIL Lourdes (we can't send food anymore to the US - homeland security I guess I'm going to send it from the base) I bought a toy for one of Lorena's son yesterday. I'm also going to make a list of stuffs we want to buy on the base: mainly food like pop corn, chocolate chips cookies, mini marshmallows, and so on ... If you have more ideas of food we can bring, let me know (we did forget about some stuffs we used to buy ...)

Yesterday, I prepared the Playmobil advent calendar for the kids:

They were very happy to open the 1st box this morning.

As you may remember, I signed for an advent calendar exchange on Blue's bulletin board. Liliwinnie is the one who sent me the 25 gifts. This morning, I took a picture of all the gifts:

Here is a pic of the N° 1 gift:
Tadaaaaaaaaaa:

Someone thought he was for him

It's a cute little christmas box. I could use it as a storage box for small ornaments.

Chuy is working this morning then we'll take the kids to eat a "heathly" fast food meal It's funny but Pierre never complain about fast food ... Well, he's american: do I need to say something else? I'm joking but his love of fast food kept him eating while he was having his chemo. At one point, he had cold sores in his throat, mouth and lips and couldn't talk anymore (he wasn't doing anything anymore actually, just laying in pain on his bed ...) and he did eat a cheeseburger I don't know how he did that ... So should I say; thank you Mr Mac Donald's? I know it's not healthy food but once in a while, I don't think it can cause a lot of harm ... and it's still one of Pierre's favorite life's pleasure.

Talking about Pierre, (warning: mommy bragging ahead ) I have to tell you that he got an A on vocabulary yesterday !!! I asked him: "what the teacher told you?" "He said it was very good", then Pierre added: "and everybody aplaused me" ! I'm very happy for him because as you know school is not always easy for him ... I just hope it could boost his self esteem ... On thrusday, he told me again that he's not smart ... So sad

By the way, is it only me (my computer) or we can not click on a picture to enlarge anymore? I now have a message that ask me if I want to save or open the file when before, I was clicking and I had the picture right away!

Have a great week end ladies

about the trip,,if you go in a car,(i don´t know where you start the trip),but i can tell, with my exprience I traveled from Madrid to bielfeld (germany) drive, we need to sleep one night, the city of Tours, if you need to sleep one night recommend using hotels campanille, but we must stop and exit the highway at 5 pm at the latest. That lead?, Money for tolls and bathrooms, specifically currencies (always hide when needed), and in terms of food, which has named is perfect, and above all, carries water, water bottles mineral.y rest every two hours.

Woooo-Hoooo! (Clapping madly) Really beautiful finish, Chiloe. I'm proud to know you! And congrats to Pierre, too!

And it's great that Pierre found something to eat when he was sick. One of my favorite "treats" when we go to Utah is chocolate milk from the Cream O'Weber dairy. They have a story about a young man from Utah who had to be out of state for his chemo and the ONLY thing he wanted was C O'W chocolate milk. When his mom contacted the dairy to find out about buying it and having it shipped across country the dairy said no way, and instead shipped all he could drink for free until he was past the crisis. Whatever it takes!

So, you're on to the fairy. I'm sure I still have several weeks to wait so I will await your progress and advice! Did you get the silk floss she recommends, or did you sub something else?

Have fun!

The photo enlarging is a bit on again off again - sometimes it will work, other times it won't. I don't know what's going on. *shrug*

A huge WELL DONE for Pierre! Tell him I think he's a very smart boy to get an A in vocabulary!

Wooo! Congratulations on your finish.

Great news about Pierre and his A on vocab. :D

I'm a huge fan of Cheeseburgers and can so get why Pierre would eat one of those. Although I will admit I thought you were going to say he ate an ice cream sundae with all the talk about his sore mouth.
