Wanna see my progress?

I didn't post yesterday because my progress was invisible, except for me of course ... I had stitched though but with all the different half cross stitches, it seemed I had made no progress at all. So depressing ... We agreed with Chuy that I won't be able to finish it by september 14 th and that we'll mail it to Lourdes later. Yesterday, I stitched during Esteban's nap AND at night which is something I hadn't done in days. So here is the progress. I have to work down the pattern because I'm out of color ink and can't make a working copy of the left part of the chart. I try to color the part I'm stitching to not get too lost but I still get lost as i don't color regularly ... Then I don't know where I am in the chart as there are so many symbols that look similar ... Remind me to stay away from Dimensions charts for a while Thanks ! As I keep stitching on the angels, my mind wanders thinking at what I could be stitching I'm actually dreaming of a Lanarte or whatever is fun and easy to stitch. I could start something else but I'm too afraid that if I start something new, I'll give up on the angels. If it was not a gift, I may have already started something else ... I see many stitchers having 2 or 3 projects at the same time and I used to be one of those. And I used to not finished them. Now, I don't trust myself: if I stop a project, I know I may not go back on it ...

Today is the last day of vacations! Pierre and Emma go back to school tomorrow and Esteban will return full time to the daycare. I, I will wait for a call for a job. We'll see when teachers will start to get sick or going on maternity leave. I don't like the wait as I always worry they won't call me for whatever reason. We do need two paychecks to be okay. Most french kids go to school 5 days a week: monday, tuesday, thrusday and friday all day and saturday morning. (they will go back to school on september 4 th) My kids don't go on saturday so they enter school on monday and will have less vacations during the school year. Wednesdays are for activities like sports, music, ... Emma will go back to violin, music and drawing classes while Pierre, who first said he will play soccer, will do NOTHING! he will go to speech therapy every wednesday at 9.30.

Have a good sunday !!!

I think you have made a LOT of progress, even if you don't think you will be able to finish it by September (so sad). But finishing it at ALL is a great accomplishment. Just keep stitching!

dimensions charts are hard to stitch. I found that too.

Why doing you do a little rotation? Maybe start another project and stitch a couple of days on each in turn? That way you wont get so bored ... but make sure the other one isn't a Dimensions too!!!

Fantastic progress. I agree it wont get done in time unless you stop sleeping.

I'm another one who works on one project at a time for fear it will never get finished otherwise. If I find myself really lacking in motivation I work on a small piece - gift or ornament, but then it is back to the main piece. Does make it harder if you don't really like the design to start with.

Angels is looking wonderful, I can't believe how quickly this seems to progress each time I see you post. Good luck with your job call.

Thank you for the lovely comments you left in my blog (stitchery nook). I traced your blog from the message and have been looking for the last half hour. You have three beautiful children, and you do some lovely stitching.

I love the Angel Kisses, I have been trying for ages to get this just as a chart as I would like to stitch it just as a picture of the little boy and girl (no wings) and change some of the colours so a kit seems a waste of money.

I too have put you in my links and shall watch your progress with great interest.

I have just found your blog and have enjoyed looking through your posts. I hope it will be OK to add you to my list of blogs I read so that I can stop by again:)

Love your WIP. It is so pretty. Dimensions pieces are not an easy stitch are they?! I gave up on one a couple of years ago as I got so lost on the chart and was making so many mistakes!

Hi Nadine - my first visit to your blog :) You're doing beautiful work on this piece, but yes, I hate Dimensions charts too!

I was wondering if you have received either of my 2 emails to you, and if you still wanted the Violin chart I have up for sale?
