If I kill my landlord ....

will I go to jail?

The man arrived at 9.00 on tuesday morning to play with my bedroom window ... He brought his play date : his brother in law. We let him play and play and play. They played until 7.30pm I didn't want to let them in the appartment alone so I asked a friend to bring the kids from school and my mom was in charge of bringing Steb from the daycare. After they finished with my bedroom, they decided to go and play with the kids' bedroom to fix the shutters: that's where we had put everything from my bedroom. Well, they didn't care at all. I had some cross stitch stuffs in two bags? Why not put some heavy stuffs on top on them? Who cares if Pierre spare glasses where by accident in one of these bags? They would have asked me I would have removed everything they wanted

When the kids were back from school the landlord didn't like when I ask him not to curse. He said: "you know, it's something natural ..." " we don't curse in this house - really !" ( he didn't see the great chance to expand his vocabulary I was giving him ... ) Then they broke a screw in the concrete wall of the kids' bedroom and the landlord asked to come back the next day (yesterday) Fine we said: at that point we are almost ready to adopt you ... So he fixed the shutter and then, when we thought we would be free, he asked to go and take the measures of the kitchen and bathroom windows Of course, he had to do it the day I didn't wash the dinner dishes ... I couldn't clean and put back the furniture in my bedroom by myself and do some houseworks after to relax ... ( that morning I was also putting some clothes on my drying rack ... Well ladies, now he knows my bras are white: do you think that will draw us closer? )

You will think we are celebrating by throwing a big party and inviting all our neighbors: wrong, the landlord happily said he WILL come back one day with the guy from the home improvement store to check some defects the windows have ...

I'm still stitching (just in case you are wondering if the landlord didn't drive me so crazy, I am now collecting stamps ) Here is my latest progress:

I'm stitching the yellow curtain: working with yellows is a nice and relaxing moment

The days have been great for while now: sunny, warm ( even warner than the temperature they have in south of France right now ) The kids and Chuy are on break until tuesday so we have nice moments together.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that you have intruders in the house! There's nothing worse is there? They seem oblivious to the fact that you have a life though. You might as well have made up a bed for them to spend the night the hours that they spent with you.

Glad you managed to relax enough to stitch though, looking beautiful as always.

Under the circumstances, I'm positive that you will go scot-free if you kill this man. ;)

Hey Chiloe...you have my permission to kill your landlord and his playbuddy...I won't tell anyone that you did it...LOL...

Wow your WIP is looking more beautiful each time you show a progress picture. I just can't believe how beautiful it is becoming.

Take care & Happy Stitching

I'm so sorry Chiloe, I'd come over and help you dispose of the bodies if I could.

You are making amazing progress with the stitching despite all the dramas.

Oh, I'm so sorry for you. Your stitching is progressing nicely despite of those two in your apartment.

Ow! Sorrie to hear about the intruders. I'd hate to have my home invaded like that.

Lovely progress on the Lanarte. I love the bright colors.

Wanna borrow my boxing gloves? LOL.
As I'm reading, I just can't imagine that the next sentence can be worse for you than the one before.

Glad found some time for some stitching stress release.

Enjoy your weekend! (I hope anyway)

We don't curse in our house either. Well, at least not when the kids are around! I would have been mad if he had given me a hard time when I asked him to watch his language. Out of respect, they shouldn't have been swearing in the first place.

That is one nasty landlord! Sorry to hear you're having such troubles with him and his repairs.

You stitching, as usual, looks lovely!

It's good to see that you have kept your sense of humor through all of this ;o) LOL!

You are really coming along with your cross stitch piece. I bet it's all that stress. It gives you that chance to wind down.
