About my yesterday post: I didn't mean I fell a pression to stitch samplers. You know I use stitching to relieve stress and to make me happy. And I always feel free to stitch whatever I love. All I meant (or try to mean ) is there is sampler thing going on all over the stitching blogging world ... which, maybe, make me old fashioned But I have no intention to change my stitching style ... (see my stash )
Here is my newest progress:
Still a lot of fun and quick progress.

Your WIP is gorgeous Chiloe. I love the little bird:)
tu ne t'arrêtes plus hihi
tu as changé la marque de tes aiguilles ?????????? ton avancée est impressionnante, je n'ai plus qu'à prendre exemple sur toi !
Toujours aussi joli ! Bravo !
Your progress is awesome!
Great progress.
I love to watch your Lanarte projects progress. Those charts have so much going on in them that you see fun changes every post.
I know what you mean about the sampler craze. I enjoy watching others' progress on them but for the most part they look kind of boring to work on. I've only done one sampler kit and a few "row" alphabets from Bent Creek (with a few more in the queue). I dislike stitching words or letters and have to grit my teeth to do them.
I've never been interested in learning fancy stitches, but bought two Victorian Sampler charts and am feeling my interest build so that I can do those charts. but they are so colorful and cleverly designed that they don't seem so "sampler-like" to me.
Having said all that, I enjoy Mary Kathryn's site (which includes LOTS of samplers) and will probably do a couple of her Jane Austen charts.
You know what else I've noticed? Several of the blogs I read for the cross-stitching have become knitting blogs. Again, I enjoy watching their progress but have not interest in learning to knit (which is a shame because my mother is a master.)
Chiloe,
Wow, What great progress so far! I love the colors very calming.
Your WIP is looking lovely.
I see you have been avoiding the green Christmas tree again
I agree with Debi, samplers get very boring - just doing the calendar part of my advent calendar is tedious. I'm not sure I'd be able to finish a sampler.
And again agreeing with Debi, so many stitching blogs seem to have turned into knitting blogs.
You've made a lot of progress in a really short time. I love seeing your updates. Keep up the good work!
I know what you mean though. I prefer more "realistic" designs as well compared to the more simplistic sampler designs. However, I can see why other stitchers are attracted to them. In fact, I've made some exceptions for a I've fallen in love with a few of these samplers. I think one of the main reason is that the samplers enables you to experiment with different types of floss - silk, overdyed, etc. in different colors.
beutiful lanarte :D
i am happy i finish my heritage at last!!
hugs
Just think, you can't possibly be the only one who prefers realistic designs...if you were, there would be no new patterns made to add to your stash! :)
