Back to school 1

Pierre started secondary school with a lot of worries about the cafetaria (his main concern ) We had to be there at 8.45 am and parents were allowed to stay until 11.00 am. The teacher explained each group what they are going to do in the next days. As I told you already this secondary school is not like every other secondary school. Actually it is an experimental school where teachers choose to teach and where they want to teach differently. So they are only 22 per class with half girls and half boys. I left at 11 am when it was time to go to the cafetaria (which mandatory in that school.) and all Pierre wanted to do is to check the menu He saw he could eat lasagna and was very happy with his choice (there were lasagnas, salmon lasagna, turkey steak and salad and green beans. Not bad, right? ) I went to pick him up at 4 pm and he arrived with a big grin: he loved his day. I feel much better looking at him so excited about his first day. We had a meeting from 5 to 6.30 pm where all the teachers were intorduced to the parents. Now I have to make an apointment with his main teacher to talk about his health issues ...

Tomorrow, it's back to school for Emma and my sweet little stubborn baby Can't believe the day is here ... which means vacations are over No more waking up at 9 or 9.30 am It was hard getting at 7 this morning ... and the worst thing about it is that Pierre has school on saturday mornings: that sucks ( 9.45 to 12.00) I hope Steb will like his teacher and school ... He seemed excited tonight so let's keep our fingers crossed for him too

My progress as last night :

Glad the first day of school went well and that there was something yummy in the cafeteria for him to eat.

Crossing fingers everything goes smoothly for Emma and Steb also.

That experimental school sounds really interesting. I hope he'll continue to enjoy it so much - and that getting up early will go easier. ;)
