I am really tired of working on that wing. I didn't color properly each I was stitching do I am a little lost in what need to be done Last night I stopped stitching because I felt so bored doing that project ... It makes me loose interest in stitching. I just hope it's just a temporary state of mind ... I think I need to color on the chart everywhere I stitched on the wing and then have several needles ready with the colors I will need because I am wasting a lot of time changing my needle each time for one or two stitches ... Today, I took a picture with my digital camera.

There is a good side on having the family here: I got some of my stash back !!! Yeah !!!!!!!!! I got mainly my leaflets and magazines that I bought while I was living in Texas. It's great to see all my old stash. My tastes changed a little bit and I may sell some as I know there are stuffs I know I will never stitched !!!

They also brought some goodies : mainly for Chuy as I don't eat anything with chile's spices in it

I got my Fabric of the Month fabric from Silkweaver yesterday. I got Periwinkle Mist and Sapphire Sky.

I'm back !!!

I got back my phone line yesterday !!! I don't know what really happened. On thrusday we lost our regular phone line then on friday a technician switched our line with a woman's line ... suddendly I had another phone number... I made several calls to the phone company, explained why our line is important and so on ... Of course, they didn't care and planned for a technician to come on monday... We had given Lorena (Chuy's niece in Germany) my cellular number so she was able to reach me when they arrived here. It was hard not having my internet connection . I think I'm a little addicted

I made some progress yesterday in my angels. They are not finished as you can guess Here is the pic of last night work:

His wing is really a pain. I have a lot of white left everywhere. I'm sure her wings are going to be easier. I'm not quite done on his wing because of all the unstitch part I left everywhere. I have stitched 80 % of the pattern. I can't wait to finish it to stitch something different ... Like I didn't feel well today, I decided to order the two lanarte kits I showed you last time. (still visible on that page) I also added a 32 count antique white lugana fabric for a lanarte kit I own. I want to change the linen fabric for my favorite lugana. I placed my order with Sew and so.

No picture ...

No picture today: I stitched just a little bit yesterday because I came back late last night. The progress is too small to show !!! Sorry ! Right now, I'm taking a (short) computer break from cleaning to write this message. My mom took the 3 kids to help me out. I still have to go to Emma's violin class meeting at 6.00 pm ... She didn't pratice much during vacations ... Shttt ...... Don't tell the teacher

Thank you all for asking about Esteban. He's feeling better today. Yesterday, the painters woke him up again by making some noise. So he slept in my arms for another hour. Then he was grumpy for the rest of the day ... I'm glad he's sleeping at my mom today as the painters are making noise again ...

I also want to thank you all for the comments you are leaving on my blog lately. It's really nice to feel the support behind the screen !!! I think I may have given up on the angels without you (especially when I was drowned in the blues ... )

Today is the day for Chuy's family to leave Texas !!! They are going to arrive tomorrow morning to Germany (german time) . I hope everything will go well ...

Flowers.

Nope, my husband didn't offer me flowers (he almost never does actually ) but I did work on the flower garland last night. It's not going be longer than what you see on the picture. The design is now too big to fit on my scanner screen. I could take a photo with my camera but I can't really take good close up picture with it. I'll try once in a while in order to show a full image of my progress.

If you look at the ticker, you saw Chuy's family arrives in 6 days So yesterday it was shopping day: we went to check for a new furniture for the entrance. I found the one I wanted and will get it this morning. We bought 2 foldable stool chairs and we are going to get 2 foldable chairs as well. It's hard to imagine 9 extras people in this small apartment ... I hope everybody will have a seat During my shopping spree , I also bought 2 pillow covers for my ugly pillows in my living room. They are now covered with a nice chocolate color and are washable - which was not possible with the pillows I have. I should change also my sofa as it got a hole at one edge. Of course, it happened on Chuy's side because my stitching side is still perfect I guess the fabric on the sofa was too thin as I didn't pay a lot of money for it ... Anyway, even though it's embarassing it will stay that way as I can't afford a new sofa right now and sofa covers are very expensive too... After we would have mounted the furniture (which is always very interesting in this household ... ) I will have to continue reorganizing the whole appartment in the hope to have less piles and a mess free desk !!!

In july, I bought a very bedding during the sale time but they didn't have the pillow cases. I bought it thinking I will find some pillow cases that could match a little bit the bedding. But it did not happen. Yesterday, as I was cruisisng the furniture store, I saw MY bedding on display! I couldn't believe it !!! So I rushed to find a sale person (which is sometimes mission impossible in this kind of stores ...) to check if they actually sell beddings. The guy told me they do and I searched all their beddings: and I DID find my matching pillow cases !!! YEAH!!! What are the odds for something like that to happen? Same bedding in 2 different stores !!! Maybe it was my lucky day and I should have played the lotery?

I found my mistake last night! Remember me to not stitch while watching Cold Case I feel better because it is in the shading area between the 2 angels. Now I am wondering if it is not too dark that purple over there ... Oh and I am now wondering if I realy had a mistake in the pink area ... I'll find out later. I was happy last night to find what was my mistake and to not have to frog a lot

I did stitch !

I stitched last night. My one day break was necessary I think. I started the little boy's collar. I did the backstitch under his chin and around his ear. I decided to make a close-up when I scanned this morning. Honestly I am not sure you can see anything new in my sea of blues ... Look I have: pale blue, light blue, pale blue purple, blue, light sky blue and light blue purple And like all dimensions kits, some are stitched with one strand, some with 2 strands and some in mixed colours (but no more than 3 strands in that kit) I think I need not to think too much on that pattern: just stitch a little bit everyday.

Pierre's always been a huge Pokemon fan! It all started when his cousins in Fort worth were collecting the cards (Pierre was 3 y.o. and wanted to do like them!!!) When we arrived in france, the Pokemon wave just had reached the old continent and Pierre was very happy with the cards his cousins gave him. When he got sick, some friends offered him a game boy and he got a Pokemon game. This spring, the Pokemon fashion came back to his school with new cards. Boys exhanged them again. Then this summer, they had a new game out: Pokemon Pearl but only for Nintendo DS. We had only the game boy advance. So we got the Nintendo DS. Anyway, after a while, they don't make new game for the game boy advance ... Emma got the Nintendog which is a fun game: they have to take care of dog: feed them, walk them, learn them new tricks, and so on ... I have to limit playing time though which create conflicts ... but I think it's necessary !

Yesterday, Emma felt like watching old video tapes: she loves to see hersefl when she was a baby. That was a good idea because we saw their uncle, aunt and cousin on the tape. That's more real than seeing pictures in an album !!! So they will have an idea of what they look like when they will be here Watching this old videos, you also realize how time flies ... My baby girl is seven years old already !!!

Pierre complained of chest pain this morning. He already complained about it yesterday so I may take him to the doctor if he still complain about it. With him, you never know if it is a small pain or a strong one as he' s very sensitive to pain ... I can't help worrying for him ...

I didn't tell you before but they are painting the outside walls of our building. They started with the other side of the building so we didn't have any scaffolding blocking our view. Well, this is going over very soon as they have started building those on our side The worst thing is that we don't have curtains !!! We live in the third floor with no building in front of us. We can see very far away actually. When we visited the appartment, Pierre said: we can the whole world! Only the kitchen doesn't have french windows and when the sun is here, the appartment is so bright: that is something I really like about it. But tranquility is over. I can hear right now the workers working really hard at mounting that scaffolding together We did anticipated and got mini blind for the kitchen. Now, we feel the pressure and we going to get mini blinds for the living room this afternoon. I don't want the painters to have a direct access to our intimacy . Yet, the prospect of living in the dark for more than 2 months doesn't appeal either ... That's what happen to Pierre and Emma's bedroom: I only open their shutters after 6 pm and on week end. (for 2 months now, it is been like that ... Now their bedroom feels cold ...) It is also going very hard to only see scaffolding on week end... And the project can be delay because we only see painters once in a while and never more than 2 painters ...

It seems a lot of people came to the blog yesterday. I was even surprised by the number! But only my faithfull readers (and very much appreciated ) dropped me a line so don't hesitate to leave a comment: it always makes my day and I love discovering new blogs as well !
