Back from busyland !!!

Nope, I didn't abandoned you but I was very busy all week long helping Chuy in the pinatas making. It was also the last week of school for the children so I had a lot of things to do. Now vacations have begun. Back to school is on september 1 st for Pierre and september 2nd for Emma and Steb. Pierre is going to summer school this coming week and the last week of august. He's not happy about it but he really needs it ...

Emma celebrated her birthday at the park yesterday and we all had a great time. The weather was great and we were very lucky because the forecast was not on our side. I'm glad those guys are often wrong !!! We had 24 kids, 3 pinatas, 5 cakes, lots of drinks and some parents to help us look after the kids. We always do it at the park because they have swings, slides so the kids entertain themselves very well over there. We only need to make sure they don't escape Emma was literally showered with gifts from her friends: pets shops (very popular here. She even got twice the same set which didn't bother her at all), Hello Kitty stuffs, some clothes, marbles, books, and so on ... Here are some pictures:

It was Esteban's first time hitting a pinata:

The kids waiting on line ( from the shortest to the tallest)

The birthday cake:

All the children waiting for the magic candles to burn again. They all seemed very concentrated :

The most awaited moment for all the kids: the opening of the gifts (the picture is voluntary blurred)

One of Emma favorite's toy: a plastic furry ball:

Windy, I took pictures of the work in progress when we were making the pinatas. I'll make a special post about it.

The nasty disguting neighbor did clean his balcony on saturday (it seems that's the day he chose to clean it) The balcony appeared cleaner than last saturday so I'm hoping he got a letter from the city and got rid of the dog (but he may have just went on vacations ... ) It's funny on your comments that you all think more of the dog than us, poor humans who have to smell the sticky stuff each time we enter the building . By the way, he also have a cat that we can see sometimes on a leash on the balcony ...

Thanks you all for your nice comments about my stitching progress and my new beautiful stash . I really love reading your comments. I'm sorry I couldn't really comments on your blogs all week long.

The "colour" exchange you were in is such a neat idea. You sent and received some lovely things!

My son also has that weird goo-ey like furry ball in purple. He saw it one day at Walgreens and wouldn't leave until we got him one, we did, but he still freaked all the way out cuz he wanted to buy all the different colors at $10bucks each!!! Bankruptcy! LOL
