Life ...

I've been a little quiet this week. The reason is that one of my sister in law in Mexico ( do you believe I have 8 sisters in law in 3 differents countries? ) is sick. She's been sick for a while. She first started to fall once in a while and it came to the point that she can't really walk anymore. She did lots of tests but so far, they haven't found anything ... so we worry a lot. And when you live 9000 miles apart, you worry even more because you can't talk to the doctors, you get informations that may not be accurate, and you never know what family members could tell you so you don't worry ... Chuy worries a lot anyway ... He's very close to his sister. She took care of his younger brother and him when their mom passed away. She never got married, never had the children she's always wanted, she's the one who takes care of their aging father. Last time, she told Chuy that she knows she's going to die ... And he told me that before going to bed so that night, I didn't sleep very well ... We feel so helpless being so far away ...

Pierre went back to school on tuesday. We were instructed to just drop him off in front of the school and leave ! Remember when we had to get up every saturday morning last year because Pierre had school? Well, it's OVER !!!!! Instead, he has school on wednesday morning !!!

Emma and Esteban went back to school yesterday. Steb didn't really want to go back: he's already asking when are the next vacations ! Emma is estatic ! She has a great teacher and she goes to school with a big beaming smile in the morning !!!

The very day of back to school, Rain and Wind teamed up to bring us a fall like weather ... I was hoping for a nice back to school weather because we got such a great summer ... I guess it was a way to go back to the reality very fast ...

I kept stitching on Pansy as you can see below. There are a lot of kreinik in the skirt and I don't really enjoy stitching with them.
Today, I got my thread from Patou so I'm going to be able to finish Sweet Pea but I won't say anything to Emma in order to suprise her.

Oh doll, I'm so sorry for the stress. That's hard when you live so far away from someone you love so much. Hang in there!
The Pixie is looking beautiful, it will be worth it in the long run! :)

I hope that your SIL gets some relief soon.

I'm glad that back to school is going well for all the kids and that you don't have to deal with Saturday school any more.

You progress is lovely. I can't wait to see your finish on Sweet Pea. I am definitely going to be getting that pattern soon.

I'm sorrie about your sister-in-law {{{Hugz}}}

Pansy is looking good. Kreinik is really a pain to stitch with but so worth it in the end when you finally see the whole effect. Keep at it and you will be done soon :)

Oh my, so sorry that you and Chuy have to deal with the illness of a loved one from so far away. That is really rough.

I hope the doctors are able to diagnose her soon so that she can receive treatment.

I'm so sorry about your sister in law. I hope the doctors can find out what is wrong with her and fix it up.

The stitching looks lovely, such gorgeous colours.

Annie loves the school work part of school, just not the play times. Makes it so much easier to get ready on the days when she wants to be at school.

I hope you don't have too many battles with Pierre over getting ready for school.

The camera isn't the problem :p It's a panasonic lumix dmc camera. Costed 600 euro's.

The problem is the light in the house :( We live in a small appartment we rent, near a very annoying big traffic way and a station at the back. It's build pretty wrong, and we don't get good light inside :(

Greetings, Babs

So sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. That is heart-breaking. Good to stitch during times of stress like that. But don't let the metallics stress you out - what can we do to help? Email me (Dena from Kreinik Manufacturing Company: dlenham@kreinik.com). The pansy will be beautiful when finished!
