...

I got a little stunned today when I woke up this morning. Usually I turned on the computer and and eagerly come to check the little comments that make my day (I know, I have an empty life.) But today for the fisrt time since july 2007, nobody has left a comment to say hi ... I'm maybe too addicted to the comments ...Maybe my blog has became too boring ??? Maybe it's because I don't have time to write long post like before?

I got tired to work on the red stagecoach. ( Will you believe I once lived on a stagecoach road?) so I stitched some blue detail on the map (rivers to find gold? )
I realised I haven't showed you what I got from JJ's collectibles: Threads and beads I need to complete some projects like my Halloween fairy, Isabella's garden (Mirabilia), the spirit of christmas ( L&L), Lilly ( Pixie Mirabilia) and Santa's magic (Mirabilia). I really need to keep a better track of my threads stash. Any suggestion? I still coulndn't believe I was missing so many threads for new projects considering my thread stash is pretty big. I really need to kit up more charts as I tend to first stitch my kit while my charts are only waiting for me in a dark cabinet

What I found surprising is that 2 DMC threads seem to be the same exact color: 680 and 3829. Have you noticed that?
Can someone tell me what is Mill Hill size 8 glass? I didn't find it on the JJ's collectibles web site. It's necessary for the Halloween fairy. Thanks.

Today we are going to have lunch at my mom's to celebrate Pierre's birthday .

Aww, I'm sorry now that I didn't comment yesterday. I did read but didn't have much time so just flicked from blog to blog having a quick read.

Your Goldmine is looking great!

I keep all my threads on bobbins in the clear plastic bobbin boxes and I only kit up a project as I'm about to start it, although I do kit up with the beads and any speciality fibers if they are needed. That way I can always find the thread I need (as I have a full set of DMC) and maybe only need to order one or two if I'm running low. I found if I kitted up projects as I bought them, I was buying the same colours repeatedly and ending up with far too much if I only used a strand or two in the design.

Hi Chiloe! It's Thanksgiving Weekend here in Canada so maybe that's why there aren't many comments from your canadian friends.

I keep all my floss in floss boxes too...

Mill Hill Size 8 beads are also called Pony Beads but be careful. Pony Beads that are NOT Mill Hill Brand are VERY LARGE...be sure you get Mill Hill Beads Size 8 (Pony Beads) these are larger than the normal size Mill Hill beads but smaller than Mill Hill Pebble Beads. Remember too, the smaller the number the larger the bead (I think they do that just to confuse people lol)

That sucks! I haven't been commenting as often as I used to; short of time. I'm sorry!

I don't like "wasting" time winding bobbins nor do I like kinky threads after they've been on bobbins. I store my threads in zippered thread storage bags. I cut each skein into 8 equal lengths. As I'm using the floss the used bits can be tucked right back into the bags-handy! I also put a 3x5 index card in the bag to make it stand up, the bags get filed in order in my storage cabinet. When I kit up I put the bags on floss rings. I know I have pictures on my blog about all this but I'm not sure how far back...

Coucou Chiloe!
So keep blogging and stitching!
Joyeux anniversaire pour ton fils Pierre, que tous ses souhaits et les tiens se réalizent.
Bisous.

You've done great job on the Goldmine! I always love to see new threads spread around. They look so pretty! :) I use DMC's Gold Concept stitchbows, plastic storage wallets and keep them in binders. It's very easy to find the thread I'm looking for and also to check what I need for my projects.

I'm sorry that nobody commented on your post :( - I try to leave a comment, but I'm not able to read blogs every day, so I sometimes am late in posting.
