Look at that !!!

Will you believe it? I already finished the hello kitty heart for Emma ... I started it on last tuesday and finished it yesterday afternoon !!! In less than a week ... Click to enlarge but I doubt you will see the opalescent fabric. Do you have some advice on how to take pictures in order to see the opalescent fabric?

Emma is very happy with her piece. Now Chuy may try to frame (even though he's like me: he has no idea how to do such a thing ... ) Otherwise, I may try to make a banner (once again, I have no idea how to make one ... )
This is my first finish for 2009. ( I know it should have been the fuchsia ...) Now I either start something or go back to the fuchsia. I didn't expect the floral heart to be a fast stitched ... Las night I didn't stitch because I didn't feel like stitching the light pink. Instead, I play with Animal crossing on the Nintendo DS ... I trying to get the kids loan pay off Emma is funny: she told me " I can't resist to go to the clothing store and buy new outfits !!!" Hope she manages her money better then she will be all grown up !!!

I'm very happy with my messenger pingbox (on the right) . I was able to have a little chat with Beatrice, Lauranless and Karen the other day !!! Thanks ladies. It was really a pleasure to talk with you live !!! Each time I'll have a new post, I'll get connected so whoever wants to stop by, I'll be happy to chat a little bit with you !

This year, Chuy and Google decided to celebrate Valentine's day. Chuy bought me a small rose bush that we could plant to in a pot later on. We didn't do anything special that day.
I love the packaging for the rose. I'm going to clean the bag and try to reuse it.

Congratulations on your first finish! It is really sweet. You might want to try to take a pic of it in a dark room with the flash. It works for me most of the time.

Lovely roses and to plant them in a pot.

Emma's heart is cute!
I also buy the frames ready, I have a pile of different frames and I try to find one that fits. I get the mats made at my local framer.

Lovely roses!

Emma's heart is adorable! You even finished the green leaves!

Congratulations on your sweet rose. My husband announced that (and I'm paraphrasing) Valentine's Day is the work of the corporate devil. No comment.

Interesting that your google logo for Valentine's Day is different from the one I saw. I like yours better.

Your Hello Kitty is adorable!! Lucky Emma. To make a frame you need molding and a mitre box to cut the angles correctly to fit together. You must glue the frame with wood glue and make sure the corners are square. You can then use wood staples to hold the corners together. The molding usually needs a channel for the piece to nest into, also.

It's a lot easier to buy a ready made frame. I think that piece would be really cute on a little tote bag or made into a pillow. There are lots of tutorials on line about how to make them. A tote bag is fairly easy to make and fun, too.

I love the roses. When my children were little, I would ask for a rose bush for mothers day every year. My daughter always remembers that to this day and some are still surviving!

What a quick finish! Congratulations on your first finish of the year! Hello Kitty is so cute. :)

The roses your hubby bought you are lovely. I've always thought roses look better on the actual plant. Lucky you! :)

Congrats on the HK finish! It's adorable. Idea: you could get a used frame and paint it to match the piece. I do that quite frequently, and it's inexpensive.

How did you get the chat box on your blog?

Pretty roses! Way to go Chuy. :)
