I haven't touched a needle tuesday and wednesday nights ... Doesn't sound lile me, right? I don't feel like stitching the fuchsia (too bored ... ) : I know I have to !!! I don't know if I should choose a specific area, like the green left on the left or the one part of the pinks ... Or should I start something totally new? Sooooo tempting ....
As you know one of my future project is Boo by Madame la fée and I need your help to choose a fabric that could look great with this pattern. I never stitched an Halloween project so I have no idea which color could look great. Any idea? I have some Silkweavers in my stash (but I don't have my missing threads though as I haven't gotten my order from JJ's collectibles yet.).
Pierre had his appointment with his cancer doctor yesterday. The check up went fine. The doctor was in hurry so we didn't stay for a long time. Pierre had been off treatment for 3 years and a half now.
Otherwise I'm taking antibiotics as I have a kind of pimple down there (if you see what I mean or where) that got infected . That's really painful and I now walk like a duck and have to sit strangely I should have gone to the doctor a little bit earlier but you know as it goes: we always think we can deal with it ... Hope the 2 weeks of antibiotics will help as infections can be scary, especially when you read all about the resistant germs ... Of course, I stopped exercicing . I take vitamin C to help fight the infection. Do you know if there is something else I could do or take to heal faster?
Thanks for your nice comments on my Hello Kitty finish! Emma is thrilled but I'm sure she secretly wonders when it will end up to her bedroom

I did a Halloween piece on some fabric that's about the same color as the pattern in your post...kind of a mocha-ish color. I thought it turned out pretty good...light enough that the blacks didn't get washed out, and dark enough that the lighter colors didn't blend with it.
Weeks Dye Works has a limey-ish green that would look good with Halloween designs, but I know how you despise green...LOL!
I would stitch on 32 Count Zweigart Belfast Linen. Dirty Linen seems perfect for this.
the hallowen pattern, could stitching in 32 count belfast linen_ pearl grey.
2 weeks of antibiotic!! arrg!!,but is for your health, take all the antibiotic, even if you feel good in few days, take all the prescripton. i hope you feel better soon.
I would choose a fabric about the same color as on your pattern too! That will look great.
Hope your antibiotic will help and you will feel better soon! Take care.
I'm going to send you an email with some suggestions about the pimple that might help you.
I'm not a fan of the tannish colors for the Halloween piece. I agree that the grey might be good and I have seen it on white and design just pops!
I'm still going with my advice to put the fuschia away for a while and don't feel guilty. It's been so intense. When summer comes, take it out again and see if you feel more kindly toward it! Feel good about starting new projects!! Cross stitch is meant to be fun and relaxing, not stressful!! Enjoy yourself!!
That's great news about your son's health. You must feel relieved. It is always scary to go for those types of check ups. The body was already fickle so you are apt to have some little fears in your heart. Absolutely natural. Now you can breathe and just smile and enjoy the blessing of his health!!
Oh no! Two days and no stitching!!!!
That's a cute pattern and I agree with some of the others, a fabric in a grey would be really nice. Silkweavers has a nice one called Sudden Storm.
Hope your infection heals soon :oS
I have a suggestion to use something like this fabric:

or

At M Designs, look at the fabric at the top for "On Halloween Night" & "Trick or Treat Cat"
My personal favorite is the one that you scroll down about 10 rows and check out "Harvest Moon". I've seen the purple fabric at Mary's store (portable) and I know she can tell which one is which. I've seen some of these stitched on the purplish fabrics and they just really stand out. Just some suggestions for you - you'll find what you like the most! HTH
Sorry I couldn't hyperlink to the pages - don't know how to do that on a comment block. :)
PS - Sorry - meant to mention that I'm glad to hear Pierre is doing so well!
Put the Fuchsia away for a while. It is really not healthy to stitch something when your heart is not there :0)) I have that often too.
Since you are also a SW's fan, maybe you can try Mocha or Boo or Reflections Shadowbrook, Moondust or wait for a nice solo.
I am happy to hear that Peirre had been off from treatment for a few years. Stay it that way
You can wash that pimple constantly with Camomile tea bags. Camomile is known for taking infection away.
Wow, hello kitty looks so pretty!!! I perfectly understand your need for a break from the fuschia!!!

Yay for Pierre!
I'm sorry about your condition. Antibiotics kick in pretty quickly. You just want to make sure you take them until they are gone.
I think it would look good on a 'stormy' coloured fabric.
Hope your infection improves very soon so you can stop walking like a duck ;-)
Owie, drink lots of water...that helps clear infection a little.
Maybe you should try a simple rotation? Start a new project, do a week on it then a week on the fuchia. That way you don't end up with a UFO.
Oh my I hope you feel better soon.
Take care.
A gray or stormy dray might look good!
What a cute pattern! I think something light purple-gray (i.e. "stormy" as someone above said) would be suitable for Boo.
Pick something along the same color as the tan but in an overdye...picture this plus has some pretty pretties!

I recently bought the Lizzie Kate Halloween double flips and the fabric and I bought Belfast Dirty linen. I love it, it is a dark tanish brown. It will look really good with the blacks and oranges. Hope this helps. :)

You know, with the flowers that you love doing - except the green parts - maybe you should go for a surreal look and do the leaves in some other color? Blue? Something else crazy? LOL!
Get well soon!
I say start something new! :) What about Platinum for the color of fabric for your madame la fee project?
Ooops! I forgot.
Congratulations on your HK finish! It's adorable!!
Cute Halloween piece. Looking forward to seeing what fabric you choose.
Ouchie... pimple down *there*. I hope it's better now.
