Emma is officially 8 years old today 
We had her party on saturday because the school finished on friday and a lot of the kids were leaving on vacations. Yes, we had a lot of kids but because we have the party in a park, we are not limited by space

I made some progress then got really tired of it AGAIn and decided it was time to start a new one 
I progress nicely on that one:
It's a Lanarte kit: Robin by Marjolein Bastin. You know I love both. And it is a small kit so I couldn' t resist. I'm stitching it on 28 count lugana Desert sky by Silkweaver. I chose an hand dye fabric to not stitch the center part of the design and I chose the perfect color. I always find it difficult to know if the fabric I choose will end up right. This time, I'm very happy with my choice.

Chiloe, your new stitchery is adorable! I have several Bastin pieces in my stash (and a whole collection of Nature's Sketchbook knick knacks from the Hallmark stores). I just love her work.
Your Lanarte is coming along wonderfully (although I can't help but notice a few holes here and there. Might these be GREEN areas?)

Thanks for commenting about the faeries. I just love working on them. I wanted to share that I ordered my fabric from ABC Stitch Therapy. It's a piece by Sugar Maple dyed just for this design. It was kind of pricey but by the time I'd found it I had already ruined two pieces trying to dye my own and had purchased another piece that was too teal in color. This one was so close to just what I wanted (like twilight on the plains which is the only place I've seen fireflies) that it was worth the cost.
