Busy day !!!

I'm tired from my day but I wanted to show you my progress anyway (It should be clickable: it looks good in big ):

I'm getting so tired of that stage coach ... that's why I had to stitch some stuffs around: one card, some greys. My hand is getting itchy to start the new Lanarte: I'm glad I have the second one that can slap the unfaithful hand

because it has 2 wheels - still one to stitch though .... don't feel like too ...

Thanks to Anne who acepted to sell it to me for a very raisonable price, I am now the proud owner of this little jewel And you know what? I'm pretty sure it's going to be my next project !!!! Once again, we can see stitchers are the best. Anne even sent me the kit before I paid her because she didn't know the shipping. Merci beaucoup Anne: tu m'as fait très très plaisir.

Thanks for the good wishes for the house !!! It's such a great news for all of us. Pierre and Emma visited the house on saturday and were very excited. The garden drew all their attention (they even started running in there ... and us who wanted to give a good impression !!! ) Now, I have to start checking everything I own and decide what we'll throw away and what we want to keep Don't really want to do it but ........

This week end was also the day where I wanted to throw my stiching out of the window as the stagecoach wheels are driving me crazy !!! But I changed my mind because I thought it could fell on someone balcony and the person could start using my fabric as a dust buster cloth ! I made a mistake in the wheel and had to frog half of the wheel The wheel is not finished yet but I think when the whole stage coach will be done, the rest of the project will go faster I won't stitch the stitched frame around the design because I don't think the design need a stitched frame. ( ok, I admit it: I hate to stitch frames )

Great news !!!!

You remember me venting, complaining, whining, ranting about our small appartment ? (I even hurt my knee on my coffee table the other day: ouch ) Well, I have a great news: we are going to move out !!! And wait, we are going to rent a HOUSE !!!! How cool is that? There is a small garden so I could plant flowers (another hobby of mine). It's a brand new house that is not finished yet but will be ready for our big move. We are going to be in the same city. I pass in that street everyday and one day, I saw a sign "for rent" so I decided to give it a try and called. And they chose us !!! Couldn't believe it myself !!! Here you have to show a lot of papers when you rent something ( how much you earn, your IRS papers, and so on ...) Having a house was always a big dream of Pierre so we're happy his dream can be fulfill He's going to have his own room while Emma and Steb will share one. It's not a big house but it is a HOUSE and the kids will be able to play outside in a dog shit free grass Chuy, as a good Texan, is already thinking about his future barbecue and growing his own We'll be able to invite more people as here it is too small to invite more than 2 people. It will be also easier to invite some of the kids over for a sleep over !!!

Edit : We should move at the begining of december !!!

Today was the first school meeting for Emma and Steb. Both are doing great except that Steb is very very shy in front of his classmates. He volunteers to speak up but hide his head in his chest as soon as he's in front of his friends. The teacher like the way he loves to do everything himself. Emma is still a very good student who loves school. Lately she became passionate about pre history and enjoy learning her lessons. It's so relaxing when everything go well at school For Pierre, stuffs are still complicated but his secondary school is really great for him. You won't be surprised if I tell you he have great grades in english?

I have the feeling my progress is not very noticeable ... Now you can go to Monterey ( I already went there, it's a nice city ). The stage coach takes forever ...

I don't remember who asked what is going to be my next project: probably a Lanarte Not very surprising isn't it?

Wednesday in mid october

I almost got crazy stitching that stage coach wheel last night It's not easy because there are a lot of half points (or maybe because I'm too perfectionist I want the wheel to look like a wheel and not like a smashed pancakes ) I also stitched some black to relax

Today I got the stash I ordered from a Belgium online store that is closing. (scary how more and more cross stitch stores are closing ... ) everything is between 20 and 40 % off , you can pay with Paypal, she seems very serious. So I got my Lili Point chili pepper that I wanted (it's a new release so I should have waited a long time before finding it on sale ) I also got this Ursula Michaels chart, Mrs Snow womand chart by Bobbie G designs and I can now virtually build my needlework shop (don't worry: I'll make sure to have coffee so we can chat while you spend all your money in my shop )

Today my mailbox was so kind, she (yes, my mailbox is a woman) delivered another little fat envelope with this little (only 12 x 14.5 cm - 5 X 6 ") Lanarte birdie ( Celeste )from Ebay :

Edit: I updated my Oh christmas tree blog . No, I didn't progress in that one (I would have told you but Coco did so check her progress. And soon, I'll add Philippe's pictures: yep, a man is stitching this tree too !!!)
