I lost !

Everything is in the tittle: I didn't win anything in the Silkweaver contest (just like last year actually ) but let's see the half full glass: 2 of my pieces caught the eyes of the judges and it's the most important, right? Congratulations to all the winners : For the small category Veronica ! Yvonne !

So I guess you want to see my new project? So without further ado, here it is:

This is for Emma's bedroom. I chose a 28 count solo opalescent lugana by Silkweaver ( I have to use my stash ) Here is a picture of my start where you can see the whole fabric (don't be shy, click to enlarge !!! )
And here is my last night progress. The colors are great: no green, indeed and lotsof yummy colors. The colors are much better in real than on the chart picture. It's so dark on their picture.
My little assistant was camera shy (again ... ) but I'm showing the picture so you can see what it looks like from far.
Thanks for all your comments on my squirrel finish !!! It's always make my day to see you care enough to stop by and leave me a comment !!!

Oh no! I'm sorry that you lost. But at least you made it to finalist.

Oh it's beautiful! I love that. How do you do it? How do you have time to stitch with little ones? I can't even do it. ~ Dawn ~

Gorgeous choice of fabric, I'm still stuck on what to pick for her.

Not only 2 pieces caught the eyes of the judges but 30 judges. So, you should be proud. There is still next year, so no worries.

That is a fabulous fabric for you current WIP. I love the colours for both the fabric and the pattern. I love strong colours and this is really stunning. Is this the one with beads?

I didn't know you finished the Squirrel... hmm...

Congratulations for making the judges shortlist in the competition, that is very impressive in itself. :)

I love the Nora Corbet piece you have chosen to stitch for Emma's room, its colours are fantastic.
